Since his arrival in Ukraine, "Reg" has proven his ability as a combat leader, working his way progressively up from soldier to squad leader, platoon leader, and finally, to company commander. During his service in the 1st International Infantry Battalion, ILDU, Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), and Azov, he gained extensive combat experience and now specializes in assault missions, reconnaissance, and forward observations/fire control. He has fought in some of the largest battles of the Russia-Ukraine War, including those for: Kharkiv (which is now his home), Bakhmut, Andriivka, Klishchiivka, Novoselivske, and Zaporizhzhia.
